The recent crisis in Greece offers yet another illustration of Wall Street’s powers of persuasion and predation as Goldman Sachs has profited from Greece’s debt. This is now an issue of morality, don't you think?

Rachel Moran, like many other girls and women, was forced into prostitution—desperate and homeless. Now a prostitution abolition activist, writer and blogger, Moran has created an organization for survivors of prostitution and is striving for its outlaw.

We’re paying investment bankers hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars a year to make money for Wall Street. We ought to be paying educators and staff a decent wage to develop and guide the nation’s human capital – an investment that would benefit everyone.

Is a new party essential if the corporate coup is to be reversed? Kshama Sawant, the socialist on the City Council in Seattle that is up for re-election, certainly thinks so. She is calling for this national party to be formed now.

In their attempts to normalize an obviously abnormal candidate, major media outlets risk shirking their responsibility to do the most fundamental job of the free press at their own peril: To tell the truth.

While election year politics dominates the news, the control of both major U.S. political parties by the fossil fuel industry and the military-industrial complex makes the policies they agree on more dangerous than their disagreements.

For I believe that this catastrophe should have taught us something about what is good and bad about life.

If we are going to stop U.S. support for Israel’s genocide, prevent the Middle East from erupting in flames and reclaim our elections here at home, we have to stop AIPAC.
