Are elections suddenly legitimate, despite irrational, “rigged” whining? Only until MAGA loses.

In just a few days, the new president has upended the rules of democracy with a clumsy, heavy-handedness worse than we imagined.

The engine driving both ousters are movements of thousands upon thousands of people across the country, saying “no” to hate, bigotry and injustice.

Democracy is never a given—it has to be won through constant struggle against the elites. But one coalition called Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement is uniting and empowering people to push back against big-money corporations.

Baltimore’s riots have become an uprising. The people have demanded to be heard, and now, the city, state and federal government have to listen. The real fight is just beginning.

The U.S. military machine has committed egregious war crimes and serves not to democracy or freedom, but corporate profit. We should think before we bow to glorious violence and war.

Let’s envision Trump returning to his rightful place, as phony “CEO” on a fraudulent reality-show. That happens when an awakened critical mass of loud voices firmly declare this golden phrase, “You’re fired.” With or without jail time.

Millennial youth and Democrats are generally twice as favorable to taking in or otherwise helping refugees from the Syria and Iraq Wars as Republicans, and Trump Republicans are the least charitable toward them of all.

The depth of criminality within the Republican Party – both among its elected officials and its operatives – is truly unprecedented.

You’d think today’s majority, rebuffed twice in 16 years with two wingnut, minority presidents, would rage against the non-democratic, distortion-laden Electoral College. You’d think that hapless, vision-less Democrats would crusade against what put dim Dubya, then crazed, scatter-gun Trump in power.
