Donald Trump and the fourth great shattering.

In recent days, media coverage of a possible summit between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin has taken on almost wistful qualities, as though the horsemen of the apocalypse are already out of the barn.

With America leading in child poverty and nearing the bottom in education, it's hard to comprehend the thinking of people who cut funding for homeless and hungry children. But this resentment and disdain for society reaches around the globe.

No is not enough. But yes is not enough, either. Our fate lies in the joy and grief of maybe.

Trump, Barr, and McConnell do their business as if the Constitution doesn’t even exist. They have no problem subverting the Rule of Law, it is no more than a hindrance to them. These three are, in fact, autocrats.

The qualities inherent in this global cleansing are perennial principles that many hold dear: sharing, cooperation, tolerance, understanding.

It may not improve much next year, if House Republicans have their way.

Thus Trump campaigns like a redneck, white trash billionaire, even though that term defies logic, history and reason. But then his benighted audience, with nods to white supremacy, isn’t expert at logic, history or reason. Not getting truly educated, thus not able to keep themselves informed, elevates emotion over thinking, thus making them vulnerable to a hustler who does PT Barnum proud.

Fox has a long history of doctoring video, which is well documented and should have caused their broadcast license to be revoked.
