With Amazon notorious for having one of highest injury rates in the warehouse industry, workers are demanding accommodations system reform to ensure that workers don’t have to sacrifice their health to keep their jobs.

The "maiden voyage" was part of a 2023-2024 agreement Amazon finalized with Maersk to transport 20,000 40-foot equivalent containers using methanol through Maersk’s “ECO Delivery” ocean product offering.

The FTC said that for years Amazon "complicated the cancellation process for Prime subscribers who sought to end their membership."

"This was an outrageous union-busting campaign by Amazon and we're demanding the company come to the table to bargain," said an attorney for the Amazon Labor Union.

Amazon signed an agreement with Plug Power to "supply 10,950 tons per year of green hydrogen," which will replace grey hydrogen, diesel and other fossil fuels.
