“As if missed paychecks and working without pay were not enough, now they have been told that they don’t even deserve a modest pay increase.”
So here’s a message for Trump: in addition to Syria get out of Iraq, get out of Afghanistan, and get out of the entire Middle East where this current government, with an overly aggressive foreign policy, never did belong and had no right to be.
"What if we instead added $5.7 billion in teacher pay? Or replacing water pipes? Or college tuition/prescription refill subsidies? Or green jobs?"

The only way we resurrect our positive story is to incinerate this fake one, to reject hatred and racism, white nationalism and smug, tribal complacency. That targets Trump and Republicanism.

What’s truly amazing – until one habituates to the mammoth corruption of current U.S. politics – is how utterly unwilling today’s Democratic Party is to discuss issues that would paint Republicans in not merely in an unflattering, but in a criminally insane light.
