Though Obama campaigned against the way Washington does business, his most historic advances have been for the militarized plutocracy that he campaigned against.

There are a few "treacherous" donors who are using wads of cash to pervert American democracy into plutocracy. So who are they trying to buy favors for?

How extraordinary that the glaring oppression of private property remains the invisible elephant in the room. Who doubts how many huge “private” fortunes accumulate by passing huge liabilities from “externalities” (pollution, waste, disease, ruinous landscapes) onto public shoulders? Hold manufacturing liabilities to impeccable business logic, not what lobbyist influence-peddling frees them to get away with. How long can the commons survive when our most affluent free-loaders are not only “too big to fail” but “too immune to pay their own way”?

Spending by outside groups exploded from about $15 million in 1998 to more than $1 billion in 2012. And between the Clinton coffers and Koch cash, the crisis will get far worse as the 2016 presidential-election season heats up. Doug Hughes hopes to help change this.

Democracy is a government governed by the people and many citizens believe this is still how the United States is running. But in today’s society, unfortunately, we are living in a country controlled by the wealthy. People need to join together to change this.

Corporate cash is corrupting America's democratic process and killing our people's right to self-government. The Koch Brothers party is raring to go vowing to spend even more in the 2016 presidential election. It's time we stand up to the corporate elites.
