What would a psychiatrist call this? Delusions of grandeur?

US Secretary of State John Kerry, July 8, 2014:“In my travels as secretary of state, I have seen as never before the thirst for American leadership in the world.”

President Barack Obama, May 28, 2014:“Here’s my bottom line, America must always lead on the world stage. If we don’t, no one else will.”

Censorship is the Norm

Published: Sunday 18 May 2014

Part I - Shutting Down the Academics

Most Americans assume the United States government speaks “the truth” to its citizens and defends their constitutional right to “free speech” (be it in the form of words or dollars). On the other hand, it is always the alleged enemies of the U.S. who indulge in propaganda and censoring of “the truth.”

The War on Terrorism … or whatever.

“U.S. hopes of winning more influence over Syria’s divided rebel movement faded Wednesday after 11 of the biggest armed factions repudiated the Western-backed political opposition coalition and announced the formation of an alliance dedicated to creating an Islamist state. The al-Qaeda-affiliated Jabhat al-Nusra, designated a terrorist organization by the United States, is the lead signatory of the new group.” 1

Florida Workers Reap Benefits of Growing Trade with the Persian Gulf

Published: Sunday 13 October 2013

Exports from the United States to the the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Persian Gulf support thousands of jobs in Florida.

The exports of cars, trucks, aircraft parts, gold and computers were worth $1.6 billion last year alone. And there could be more on the way following a visit to the Sunshine State by diplomats from the UAE embassy in Washington, D.C., last week.

The diplomats, Dr. Saghira Al Ahbabi and Saud Al Nowais, travelled to Tampa and Orlando where they met local government officials, business executives, community leaders and students.

40 Years Apart- Reflections on U.S. Navy Yards’ and Chilean Musician’s Assassinations

Published: Monday 23 September 2013

Santiago, Chile..… September 16: A CNN news flash…another senseless massacre at a U.S. Marines office in the heart of the capitol of the world´s military powerhouse.   Standing in the lobby of the fortress-like U.S. Embassy in Santiago waiting to finish paperwork as a U.S. citizen living in Chile, I was frankly not shocked.  Later that evening, back at my home, I tuned into a local update that confirmed that the principal suspect, killed in the attack, was a former U.S.
