The imminent meeting between Trump and Putin will affect the chances that the young people we love – and so many others around the world – will have a future.

The question is whether this sham investigation will satisfy at least two of these Senators, and give them political cover they will need to vote to confirm, or whether they will demand a full and thorough FBI investigation instead of a cover-up.

These are the jobs that should command respect, now and in the future.

And no kidding, that’s the literal truth when it comes to war, American-style.

Hillary Clinton has recently turned over thousands of emails to he State Department and many of them only discuss daily menial issues. When was she discussing weightier decisions? Was she already thinking ahead, and wanted to remain mysterious about her true opinions on matters, so only communicated on big issues via telephone?

Such destructive patterns can’t be effectively challenged while deferring to hidebound party leaders.

To avoid further crises with huge tragic social costs, we have an urgent task to bring finance back under democratic control, to reconfigure society’s relation to finance capital, indeed, to Capital itself.

If Democrats win in the next couple of elections but continue to make the rich richer with neoliberal policies (as Obama did), that will just be another opening for a Trump-type.
