Is getting born any less of a right than the “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” set piece that buttresses our opening national gambit?

"So, not only do we individually deserve Mt. Rushmore, the Trump family merits this historic engraving set below: “Trump now, Trump tomorrow, Trump forever.”

Until reactionary Republican malfeasance is exposed and discredited, the USA will remain the most divided, globally dangerous and morally backward of affluent western nations.

These captains of American capitalism are brazenly ignoring their responsibility to their own nation, a nation in desperate need of funding for education and infrastructure and job training.

Can America still follow its principles of liberty and equality but have a far broader set of free social services (education and healthcare like the fire and police departments)? I think that it can. And if it does, it will have the sort of society that we want – not an oligopoly or crony capitalist one.

We only elect twosomes to the White House. Why not learn sooner, not later, what that combo would look like? Frankly, I don’t see much downside – and distinct benefits.

They make him irrelevant. Politics happens around him, despite him. He’s not literally gone, but he might as well be.

I believe that anyone covered under Medicare for All should be permitted to obtain services anywhere in the world, so long as the services are similar to those provided in the United States and at a price that is no greater than that charged in the U.S.

News reporting is, without a doubt, extremely important. But that is just not enough, we also need these T.V. channels to go a step further and expand their horizons.

In any case, after the unruly 2016 campaign, the over-riding question for 2020 and beyond looms: will voters embrace the most qualified presidential candidate – or fall for a predictably hyped replay of bad theatrics?
