Shall we wall off Canada, too?

One of the most important lessons from the Indigenous that we should embed into our decision-making is that we are not only making decisions for ourselves.

It is a mistake to brush off a primary with huge significance.

Look at all the marvels we learned this past year. Our revered democracy, battered by money and bludgeoned by bad faith, can still distinguish an utter phony, skilled mainly as con artist, from adult candidates capable of governance. All but Trump offer the minimum for any viable president: deflecting monumental disruption and chaos.

When the state decides to isolate, discredit and crush you it has innumerable ways to do so.

The American people should be demanding annual benefit adjustments that reflect the real world confronted by the elderly and disabled and not simply the fantasies of political hacks in Congress.

Until the public demands better, the puppet show will go on.

The free press should now focus a fierce spotlight on the standoff at Standing Rock - a critical front in the global struggle to combat global warming and fight for climate justice.

We won’t likely hear these questions asked in the final presidential debate, but their answers are critical to our democratic future.

Ultimately, hard times, polarity, and refusal to be a serious candidate informed Trump as Lord of Misrule.
