The Supreme Court is once again challenging Obamacare, which could dramatically influence the health of millions. These challengers are claiming the law prohibits insurance subsidies to the millions of low and middle-income Americans living in the 36 states that did not set up a state exchange.

Can America still follow its principles of liberty and equality but have a far broader set of free social services (education and healthcare like the fire and police departments)? I think that it can. And if it does, it will have the sort of society that we want – not an oligopoly or crony capitalist one.

These CEOs and their corporations don’t actually care about protecting democracy. They care only about protecting their bottom line.

Similar at heart? Parallel in the most important ways? Sanders stands for all the Trump hates. And vice versa. Trump could be the 1% poster child that drives Sanders' dramatic anti-elitist, anti-inequality, anti-climate change denial movement. A true challenger to the status quo (party and nation) and the oligarchic "establishment" that runs this country, Sanders is more polar opposite to Trump than alleged first cousin.

Jesuit Fr. Daniel Berrigan will be remembered for challenging the conscience of the Catholic church and the nation on the dangers of militarism.

Let’s hope Never Trumpers vote before lawful protesters, dissenters and critics are sent to the gulag.
