This is a story about a party—one of two major political parties in America—declining in popularity and desperately clinging to power.

With a still small but growing number of progressive voices within the Democratic party, there is for the first time in decades an opportunity to truly move that party to the left and counter the threat represented by radicals like Boebert and Taylor Greene.

The party of primitive deplorables, thinking it too could play with fire, is facing an outraged majority. Too bad it took so long.

Eleven Republican senators and senators-elect said today they will vote to reject President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s victory next Wednesday when Congress meets to formally certify it.

"The future of the [Republican] party is based on a multiethnic, multiracial working class coalition." and that, “...the free market exists to serve our people. Our people don’t exist to serve the free market.”

The Republican platform — and the Republican Party itself — has been reduced to one word: Trump.

We have the ability to make this country ungovernable and if we use that power, we can make demands that cannot be ignored.

The Republican Party has decided not to adopt a new platform this year, a move that ensures there will be no public debate at the convention about the direction of the party under Trump.

It is, of course, the day the Republican majority in the U.S Senate decided to quit the Constitution rather than not to acquit a tyrannical president.

With modest audacity, I project February 2020 could in a few years represent the peak of national Republican power.
