Voices for Change

Considering the widespread worry that other countries might want to influence the upcoming American election, it might be worth mentioning how much the UAE has given to Donald Trump over the years, most recently through his son in law.

Lying (to correct worse lies) thus morphs into truth-telling, failing is success (showing how worthless is government), and perfidy to his own Constitutional oath is greatness (because the ends do justify the means).

It's beginning to seem like history is simultaneously repeating itself as both tragedy and farce.

What we need now is to see a plethora of other states joining in these lawsuits that are charging Trump and DeJoy with deliberate voter suppression.

We are in the midst of an existential political crisis, one that too many Americans blithely shrug off because they do not—or cannot—believe the kind of power seizures, purges, and police-state repression that has happened in many other countries can ever happen here.

That Trump cannot shift tactics (indeed worsen as desperation grows) against a different foe in different times will do him in.

It’s up to all of us to do what we can to end this Dark Age. And to vote like America’s life depends on it. Because it does.

“It’s ugly, and as un-American as you can get.”

The one thing that might get this horrific president reelected is if he can find the ways to cripple this nation’s voting by mail systems.

“I don’t trust him.”
