The country, it would turn America into would be hard for any of us to recognize.

I think that it can. And if it does, it will have the sort of society that we want – not an oligopoly or crony capitalist one.

India’s economic and energy production model is not a threat to the world, but it is a threat to India itself, particularly its most marginalized people.

Americans need Su to watch their backs more than ever, especially as a growing number of workers join unions on the heels of the pandemic and advocates push for a national version of the California law protecting health care workers.

The potential benefits for the economy would be enormous.

Strange how horror can oscillate into absurdity and back at ever accelerating rates. And strange how it rebounds to undermine basic American rights at home.

Offing unarmed adults is bad enough.

Have the “good Republicans” become so partisan that they’re no longer willing to speak up against dishonesty, apparent lawbreaking, or contempt toward the Senate itself?

Look at all the marvels we learned this past year. Our revered democracy, battered by money and bludgeoned by bad faith, can still distinguish an utter phony, skilled mainly as con artist, from adult candidates capable of governance. All but Trump offer the minimum for any viable president: deflecting monumental disruption and chaos.
