Trump has threatened individual Americans, law firms, universities, and other businesses with various forms of retribution if they do not submit to his demands. This unscrupulous retribution plan of his seems to be working—to a point.
But what those who have been attacked must do to end these threats from this rogue president is to fight back with a vengeance, with all the energy and power that they possess. They must use all the innovative techniques that they have to take down Trump before he turns them into his slaves, and America into a fascist state.
That’s easier said than done, so how are they to do it? First, they need to have a clear and powerful objective, and here’s one; their leaders need to create powerful unified groups to go to war against the demented Trump with the intent to wipe out his threats.
Take law firms, for example. Trump attacks any law firm that he feels is an enemy. He threatens them with his powers until some like the Paul Weiss and Skadden law firms cave in to his demands. They then agree to provide him with millions of dollars of free law advice. However, law firms like the Marc Elias Group, Jenner & Block, WilmerHale, and a few others, have withstood his threats and taken him to court.
These are not the unified groups of which I speak but we might call them the forerunners. The unified groups will take the next step in the process. First, there must be a leader. Then this leading law firm contacts a large number of other law firms to get them all to band together to form a unified group to fight Trump all over this country.
Now just envision doing this same type of organizing to create unified groups among the following business entities in America.
Remember, each group will have a leader:
Law firms – leader – Marc Elias of the Elias Group
Newspapers – leader – The New York Times
Magazines, periodicals – leader – The Atlantic Magazine
Universities – leader – Harvard University
Unions – Civil Service Strong is already the name of this already-formed coalition group.
Radio – leader – NPR and PBS
TV media – leaders – CNN and MSNBC
Trump wants NPR and PBS to be defunded but, if he does, then they should ask the Democratic Party for funding to use to lead radio stations across America to join a large number of unified groups.
Now, when individual groups have been organized, here is what they must do:
When Trump attacks individual companies that he considers an enemy, they won’t try to fight him alone but, instead, go after him as a unified group. The same goes for other business groups to do the same. It could end up with a large number of these massive groups all going after him at the same time in the courts. Always keep in mind, there is great strength in large numbers, and they have the combined power to win.
When Trump has issued executive orders against leading law firms the Paul Weiss and Skadden firms quickly capitulated, agreeing to provide as much as $100 million in free legal services to support Trump initiatives.
Now, besides the unified groups going after Trump in the courts, there is another huge group of scientists and other professionals that have been fired and who have the power and expertise to fight back against Trump in a different way. Here’s just one example to illustrate what I mean. Trump’s hatchet men removed the heads of four of twenty-seven governmental institutes; as well as America’s top infectious-diseases official of the NIH, the National Institutes of Health. They are also prepared to make other massive personnel cuts to that agency.
What should these four professionals and their former personnel do, go out and look for other jobs? Certainly not! “NIH is the primary federal agency conducting and supporting basic, clinical, and transnational medical research, and is investigating the causes, treatments, and cures for both common and rare diseases.”
Next, amazingly, the directors of several other agencies, NIAID, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NICHD, the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, the NIMHD, the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities, and the NINR, the National Institute of Nursing Research, were placed on leave.
These professionals, fired by Trump, don’t have to try to sue him or get jobs in their fields of endeavor; instead, they need to band together in unified groups to carry on the same work they had been doing in their former departments, on cancer and other health research. This critical research must go on, it cannot be terminated by Trump and company.
On top of that, Trump and company announced that they plan to fire some 1000 scientists in the research arm of the EPA. They already had fired hundreds of its workers. While this situation is being tried in court, these workers are still on leave. Trump’s butchers are determined to close down the ORD, the Office of Research and Development, cutting all of its workers. Here is where unified groups have plenty of opportunities to do their critically important work.
The felon, Trump, thinks he can continue to destroy important government facilities and terminate the jobs of their heads and workers any time he wishes; but what he will end up doing is allowing America’s professionals and their fellow workers to create new and better non-governmental facilities to “make America great again.”
